What Sets Us Apart
We are a caring pediatric dental team with a specialty in making kids and their parents comfortable in the dental office. Our four pediatric dentists are exceptional in caring for the toddlers from age one to three. Our six dental hygienists are by far the best in the field in caring for children of all ages. We take whatever time is needed to care for your child and develop a personal relationship. We have a commitment to communicate with you thoroughly about their dental needs.
“Each child is treated as an individual as a member of our family."
Our goal is to teach each child how to have fun in the dental environment and to increase their self-image and self-esteem. This is the main focus of each Doctor and Team member for every interaction with every patient. The best dental care results from families that work together with us for the entire process and are excited about coming to our office. We know you will appreciate our expertise. We will mutually respect your time, always be accessible, and make you feel at home.
“Exceeding your expectations…”
Our treatment goals involve more than just achieving great dental results. Drs. Weiss, Barton, Krausz, and Taylor have the tools, education, and experience necessary to ensure you child will have a healthy smile for a lifetime. We exceed the traditional standard of care and take additional steps to create an environment where you understand your child's care. This is important because you, as the parent, matter.
"Our team's attention to detail is uncompromising..."
We pride ourselves on our communication with you as well as with other dentists that may be involved in your child's care. In this way, we make sure we all are working together for your benefit. You will be fully informed about all care. We understand it is a privilege to have you choose our office for your child's dental needs, and we look forward to helping you on your journey of dental health.
We are a team of uniquely talented and caring individuals who share a common philosophy. We will create a legacy of positive dental experiences. Each child will walk out of the office taller than when they arrived!

Our Practice's Commitment to Education
Dr. Weiss holds an appointment of assistant clinical professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. At Tufts, Dr. Weiss lectures to the pre-doctoral students on Behavior Management of Children, and conducts seminars for the postdoctoral pediatric dental residents on all aspects of pediatric dentistry. Our office is a mentoring site for these students as they rotate through our office as part of their postdoctoral program. He also gives a lecture series at The Brigham and Women's Hospital Harvard-Wide General Practice Residency Program in Dentistry. Our office administrator, Kathy Pauze lectures locally and nationally on the policies, systems and organization of a dental practice, as well as on communications skills in business and life.
Our clinical hygiene and dental assisting team members give educational presentations to preschool and elementary school students on oral health.
Our office is also a mentoring site for students from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, and the New England College of Optometry. These first and second year pre-doctoral students learn about caring for children, dentistry for children, and running a private health care practice. Annually, we have approximately fifty students visit our office to shadow and learn from our clinicians. We are proud of our commitments to teach and mentor. New iPlay room iPads on both 1st and 3rd floors!
It's official! The iPads are here! Introducing our new iPlay Room!
This wonderful dental practice is focused on giving children a positive fun experience with dental care. It's not just the toys, stickers, mobiles, sunglasses and 20 flavors of fluoride paste: they have a deep and consistent philosophy of child-centered dental care. Dr. Weiss is brilliant at working with children. The staff is so child-focused that you may feel ignored! My 3-year-old daughter, who recently had a cavity filled, asks me when she can go back to the dentist and is very displeased that she has to wait a few months.
I am so happy I found the Center for Pediatric Care. Dr. Barton and his staff always make the visits very educational yet fun too for my little girls! The front desk reception is so friendly, they make my day! As always, thanks for making bringing my daughters to the dentist a happy experience... they truly love going for visits :)
My husband and I were so impressed and happy. Our daughter had a problem and we called the after-hours number and we received a call back immediately. We were told exactly what was needed and when someone would call to make an appointment. The calls were made to us as soon as the office opened and we had an appointment within a few hours. Thank you.
Dr. Krausz was exceptional. We came to your practice following a horrible experience with another pediatric dentist and we were very impressed and thankful for the experience we had in your practice. I've already given your name to a friend looking for a dentist for her daughter. Many thanks again for running such a first rate organization.
Fantastic! My kid was mesmerized by Dr. Mermelstein and probably would have been happy to get a root canal if only to listen to her longer.
I think I had more fun than my daughter. The techniques Dr. Barton used to make her feel comfortable and check her teeth were excellent. I was holding back tears of pride as she cooperated.
Dr. Weiss is the dentist for my 3 year old daughter. She had her first visit at 2 years old. Wow, this office is set up really well for children and all of the staff (office staff, hygienists, and Dr. Weiss) are just phenomenal with children particularly toddlers. They have a great system for keeping kids engaged and participating in the teeth cleaning and evaluation. As you would expect from such a great practice, they are very busy - I scheduled her first appointment 4 months in advance. Now I just schedule the next 6 month appointment when we are leaving and can get an early morning appointment easily.
The gentleman at the front desk has always been there when we come for appts and is incredibly friendly and welcoming -- I appreciate that as an adult coming for any type of appt, but also as a parent of a child who could be nervous. Great play area to ease any nerves, or for siblings of a patient. Anyone we've met there has been great. Thank you.
Our pediatrician had recommended the senior guy there - Dr, Weiss - but he is super booked so I went with Dr. Barton and he was amazing. Within a few minutes he had Isaac sitting comfortably in his chair while he cleaned his teeth and periodically held the suction to his mouth. All without one drop of crying!!! I would have never imagined such a thing. Isaac keeps saying "had fun at dentist!" I personally hadn't seen a child care professional as good as this guy! (Unfortunately he doesn't do babysitting:-).
Dr. Krausz was extremely patient with my daughter who is very anxious about any type of dental procedure. He took all the time necessary for her to feel comfortable and never felt her or I feel rushed at all. Much appreciated as he turned a frightening experience into a positive one for her.
